Easter Dresses....

Some of you wanted to see my girls Easter Dresses so here they are.... ALL of them:)
Gracee's first Easter in April 2005. I bought Gracee's dress at the Gap... This dress inspired Emme's Blessing dress, my mom sewed all different widths of white ribbon around it.Gracee's second Easter in April 2006. In this picture she is holding the thread I used to make her Easter Dress (I finished it the night before). It took me about 2 weeks of sewing nights after she went to bed. I shouldn't even post this picture because well I worked really hard on the jumper for her and it didn't turn out very well. In this picture she is wearing her jeans because I made it too short (remember I sewed it after she was asleep and I must not have measured her very good). I am sure that she only wore it to church once and then a couple of times as a top over some pants... Emme has gotten more use out of it than she did. This next picture was of Gracee at the Easter Egg Hunt, it has nothing to do with Easter dresses but I had to include it because she pulled that funny face every time she tried to open an egg. She is full of funny faces!!!

Emme's first Easter in April 2007. After making Gracee's Easter dress the previous year and it not turning out so well I decided I had better buy the girls their dresses. This year I bought their dresses at Old Navy in Park City.
Easter Last year:
Easter this year: Since my record has been to make a dress one year and buy the next This year was of course a handmade one. Originally I had planned to help some, well a little and it ended up I just made the bows... My mom did such a great job and there is no way I could have made them in the time she did!! When my mom and I went shopping for the material I couldn't find any that I really liked... Then I found this material and I loved it!! My mom didn't really like the fabric at first but by the time the dresses were done I think it grew on her. I didn't get any real great pictures in their dresses, by the time we got home from church they were pretty warn out, so I will definitely take better pictures soon!

Emme was being funny and didn't want to sit right next to Gracee...
Gracee's tender little feelings were hurt, even though Gracee is so sad in this picture it made me laugh!By the time we took a family picture Emme had had it! I am sure she is thinking "I sure wish mom and Gracee would pull themselves together for this picture."
I sometimes wonder if we will ever get a family picture with all four of us smiling and looking at the camera... Probably when they are all grown up:)
This is the only smile we got out of Emme... She got really excited when Grandpa and Grandma came through the door!

Gracee's favorite part of the dress (besides the pink flowers) is the fact that it twirls so good!
THANK-YOU to my mom for making my girls their beautiful Easter Dresses!!!
Although I love new dresses and Easter Egg hunts my favorite part about Easter is reflecting on the Resurrection of the Savior and what it means to me. I am grateful to have the knowledge of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and through that know that because of my Savior I will be resurrected someday.

I love this year's dresses (and all the other years too) That fabric is great! Your girls are so cute, I've got to see them soon! I had to laugh at the fact that the "Easter Fairy" visits your house! I agree with Gracee, the Easter Bunny is a little scary! Such funny girls!

Oh my gosh, soooooo cute!!!! Great job to you and your mom for the adorable dresses. And good job to you and Ruffin for the adorable girls. :) That is so funny about your romantic connection with Ririe. ;) Haha, I guess we all have little connections with it in one way or another!

So cute! They turned out fantastic. And every girl knows the most important thing about a dress is the twirl factor.
