Emme {Preschool}

I can't believe that Emme is old enough to go to preschool! She started on August 29th and was SO SO excited!! She goes every Monday and Wednesday from 9:20 A.M. to 12:20. Her teachers names are Miss Terry and Miss Tanya. I am excited for her to go learn, make new friends, and have fun!

Meet John

A little background on Emme: She DOES NOT like boys At ALL...(except for relatives, they don't seem to be as scary) In fact she used to cry about the thought of going to the neighbors because they had four boys. Several days ago we went swimming and near by is a statue and Emme informed me that he was her boyfriend. I asked her if she even knew what a boyfriend was and she said "no." Gracee told her it was "someone you were thinking about getting married to." I told Emme to stand by John the statue and had my camera pointed and ready and instead of just standing by John she went in for a kiss... Unbelievable. On the way home we talked about not kissing boys until they went to college. They agreed for now and so far John just gets a pat on the back or a friendly conversation whenever we see him.

{HOME}

We are finally back home (for a couple of weeks anyway), and are glad to be OUT OF THE CAR! When we got home from St. George a couple of weeks ago we found out that Ruffin's cousin moved up his wedding a couple of months so we went to Provo to that... It was great, I always love to go to sealings and think about my wedding day:)! While we went to the wedding Olivia kept our girls overnight and they had a blast with their Aunt (they had mixed emotions about coming with me when it was time to go.)
We came home for a couple of days literally and then got back in the car to go to St. George. Ruffin's brother Verle is going on a mission to Orlando, Florida and their sister Kami is going to Brazil. So this past Sunday they both talked in Church and it was really good. They both are really excited to go, Kami leaves November 5th and Verle leaves December 10th. They both will be great missionaries!
And of course a few pictures;)
I took this picture while driving, don't worry I didn't even swerve and there wasn't a car in sight. Emme fell asleep while eating something, it is always so funny to watch her try so hard to keep eating while fading fast asleep:)
We stayed in Provo on our way to St. George. While there we love to stop and see Grandpa Juan and Grandma Alma. Grandma Alma is always so sweet to offer us something to eat and is so hospitable. Grandpa Juan is quite sick but has not lost his sense of humor, he had me laughing quite a few times... We love them both!
Emme was exhausted by the time we took this picture, this was the best we could get!
This picture illustrates how much fun Gracee and Emme have a Grandma Judd's House! It doesn't hurt that they have 6 Aunts there that dote on them, swing on the swings with them, and jump on the tramp with them. Needless to say they don't want much to do with me while there and they have tons of fun!
We celebrated Rebecca's birthday on Friday the 24th. We love you Becca!
One of the Judd's friends brought over a bag of pomegranates that he grew in his backyard. I ate two all by myself and shared a few... I love pomegranates! I can hardly imagine being able to pick them from my backyard, wouldn't that be nice!
Gracee, Emme and Eliza. My girls love their little cousin Eliza, Emme was pleased to get a hug!
Marci, I am sure that it was Eliza's idea to sit in the flowers;)
Emme was grateful to Uncle Sean who helped her get in this really small space. It was fun until Austin tried to close it really tight, which just didn't quite work.
Verle and Kami soon to be missionaries.
Some of the family that came to hear them speak. Lots of family came from AZ and it was fun to see all of them!
Having fun with family ALWAYS goes by TOO quickly and the weekend was over before we knew it. On the way home we stopped at Grandma Alma's again and she let the girls pick some pumpkins.
This picture is so funny because the real reason behind Gracee's disgruntled face was not because of the fact she couldn't get the pumpkin off the vine but because a kitten was quickly approaching... I admit I DO NOT like cats but I haven't tried to persuade my girls either way.
They do love Sammy the dog that is always at Grandma Alma's door step and were so excited that Grandma had stuff they could feed him.
We are glad to be home but love and miss our family already!

Watching Movies

Today we will be watching movies ALL day... On the menu is Lipton noodle soup, Sprite and Popsicles.
Yesterday we were getting ready to leave Ruffin's Grandparents house. Emme had woken up from a nap and was acting very cranky, nothing was cheering her up. I knew something was up when she would not eat the little piece of candy I gave her. Ruffin, Emme and I were sitting on the swing in the back yard when I mentioned that maybe her tummy hurt so Ruffin started to rub it... She then threw up ALL over. We quickly got all of our stuff in the car and headed home and it was a LONG car ride home... I was so grateful Ruffin was willing to sit in the back and take care of poor Emme who only threw up twice on the trip home.
Today Emme is feeling much better but just to be sure I am having both girls rest.

Utah

We went to Utah for a week and I am finally getting around to writing about it... Our first stop was to see Olivia, we went to dinner with her and to the biggest ice cream social in the world:) (Cold Stone was giving out free ice cream).
Next we stopped by Marci's, Gracee and Emme were both excited to see Eliza! We then stayed the night at Grandma Alma's, we left there at 5 in the morning to get down to St. George. We thought if we left that early the girls would fall asleep for sure... No such luck, Gracee woke up on the way to the car and said "where are we going, what are we doing?" When we told her we were going to Grandma's house she got so excited and could not go back to sleep, Emme also got too excited and was wired the whole three hours!
I didn't take very many pictures in St. George but we had a lot of fun! Gracee and Emme loved spending every minute with Maelee and Tina when they were home from school and Gracee and Austin did pretty good playing together. While we there we went swimming, to a volleyball game (which both Grace and Emme had a blast yelling "GO Becca"), and just hung out at Grandma's house while Ruffin helped his brother finish his house.
One day I had Austin, Gracee and Emme at Wal-mart and we had fun trying on Halloween masks. These masks were my favorite!
Traveling home from St. George we stopped in Mapleton for the funeral of Ruffin's Aunt Ginny. We saw more family and I am still telling Gracee she will be Ok and isn't going to die. I didn't want to take her to see the body but all the little cousins her age were going over there so she insisted. I answered 101 questions during the funeral, she asked things like where are they taking her?, why did she die?, why doesn't her body go to Heaven? do I have to die someday? and after each question she would say, I not want to die, I too little... I am greatful for the gospel, I can't imagine how I would answer these questions without it. We reminded her of the resurrection and it seemed to comfort her a little... As for now we try not to talk about death, so she doesn't get worked up...
Our final stop before home was in Layton to watch Conference with my Aunt Farris and Uncle Doug... Olivia met us there and it was great! I certainly love Conference weekend and it is even better when we get to spend it with family!

Emme "mouse"

A couple of weeks ago I put a shirt on Emme which had minnie mouse on it. Later that day I asked her what her name was and she said "Emme" she then paused, put her hand on her shirt and said "mouse." She then looked up at me and said with a gigantic grin "Emme Mouse." She called herself this for several days but has since dropped the mouse. She is quite the little talker and loves to tell me stories of which I can only understand one or two words.
Our family wouldn't be complete with out sweet little Emme. I love her and all her silliness!
I don't know where Emme found this hat... In fact I am sure that I have never seen it before... The point is whenever I tell her and Grace to get their shoes on to go out the door she comes running with this hat on.
We love to go to my Aunt Farris's house and you can see that by the size of the muffin she gets spoiled while we are there! (I tried to cut a piece off but Aunt Farris insisted that she could certainly have her very own!)
I went to get Emme from a nap one day and this is really how I found her, she thought she was pretty funny.
Emme is ALWAYS doing something that makes me laugh... This time I am postitive she had a little help thinking up this...
She kept saying "eavy, eavy." Instead of scolding her for jumping in with a BRANd NeW diaper on I just let her play until it fell off and had some good laughs with Gracee.

Friends, Mini Cheer Camp & Homecoming

The last couple of weeks have been filled with lots of fun with our friends! Mary let us crash her house more than once and all of our kids had SO much fun...
Shaylon washing Brooke's hair... Gracee was next and boy did they all have fun! Shaylon even did some topsy tails in Gracee's hair, I was impressed!
Melanie, I hope it's ok I post this picture...
Tucker is so outnumbered with 5 girls and not a single boy to play with, he really was a good sport!
More fun with cousins at Sam and Mary's cabin... We had a huge extended family party and it was fun to see everyone that came!
Kolby, Brooke, Shaylon and GraceeSweet little friends Emme and Max.
The reason for our frequent trips to Ashton last week... Mini Cheer Camp. Shaylon and Brooke were doing the camp and I knew Gracee would have fun with them... She had a blast!
Gracee went to three practices and then it was time for the big event:) Homecoming!
Gracee, Brookee and Shaylon right before they went onto the field.
Gracee got a little nervous about ten minutes before she went onto the field but I told that if she went out there she could spend the night at Shaylon's someday:) It worked and she was just fine.Their fan club Ashlon and Emme.
After their big performance they warmed up with some hot chocolate. The biggest shocker of the night... The fact that Gracee even got near the mascot. Gracee is absolutely terrified of anything in costume so when she gave the Huskie a Hug not once but twice I couldn't believe my eyes! Gracee will probably never be a Huskie but she sure had fun showing some Huskie Spirit!

Marker Mess!!

One morning I came into the kitchen and I could hear whispering in the pantry. I swung the door open to find Gracee applying "lipstick" to her sister! I took a couple of pictures and then told them both we absolutely do not color on ourselves anymore! After the giggles and somewhat serious lecture from myself Gracee said "mommy, I not do that ever ever again!"
It seems that I soon forgot the above mentioned story...
I only left our morning art project for a minute to answer my phone. When I came back into the room about 2 minutes and 30 seconds later this is what I found...
Emme even nibbled the top off of some of the markers.Of course Emme didn't color her legs all by herself she had some good help:)
Emme kept saying "pretty, pretty!" Gracee was delighted to show me Emme's toenails that she "painted all by her own self!" I was just in shock they could color SO FAST!
I have since had to hide the markers so they are no longer accessible to my little artists!
