Why I love Summer...

Some of the reasons I love summer are... lots of camping, family reunions and just being with family! The last couple of weeks have been FULL of camping and being with family!
These are a few things worth noting...
Gracee got over her fear of dogs (she is still nervous around dogs but will now approach them and pet them.) After reading Fancy Nancy and the Posh Puppy Grace decided she wanted a dog and after the tenth time of her asking if she could PLEASE get a dog I told her if she would pet a dog maybe I would get her one. I said that in a moment of insanity thinking that it would be at least three years before she would even get near a dog. Well we went camping and the first day we saw a little black dog and I said "oh look there's a dog do you want to go pet it?" Gracee of course ran in the opposite direction and said "no, no I not ready yet, maybe someday alright!" I smiled and smugly thought to myself that I had solved the problem of her desire for a dog. The second day of camping was Gracee's someday as she not only pet a big dog but even put her arms around it and gave it a big love. I was shocked that she hugged the dog but not by what followed after when she smiled and said "see mom I ready for a dog now!"
Gracee and Zach at Warm River.Gracee and Emme were both ecstatic when Aunt Ollie showed up to camp and of course the bubbles she brought were a hit!
We had more family fun at our first annual Stan and Joyce Clark family reunion on the 5th of July... Olivia was in charge and put a lot of work into getting things together. It was in result a huge success!!!! We had so much fun! We ate yummy food, visited with each other, made taffy, swam in the pool, played games, rode horses, went on a wagon ride, and to end the night watched some fireworks.
Here is my mom pouring out the taffy...
The taffy didn't cook quite long enough so it didn't pull very good but we all laughed at our sticky mess!
We went to David's house to ride the horses and both my girls loved the dogs but Gracee needs more time to get warmed up to the horses. ( I did NOT make any promises for her to ride the horse:)Uncle Mat helping Gracee pet the horse.
David giving everyone a ride on the war wagon...
What a fun couple of weeks with family!
