one AMAZING trip!

This year for my birthday my sister planned and took me on a trip to NYC! It was incredible!! We took the red eye on the night of the 31st of May and arrived in New York around 3 a.m. NY time on June 1st. I probably only got a couple of hours of sleep so I was glad that our hotel room was ready for us and we could sleep for a couple of hours before heading out. Our first stop was Roxy's Deli on Broadway for a sandwich. The least expensive sandwich was $26, we decided to share one which was an additional $3.  The sandwich was the biggest sandwich I had ever seen! It had at least a pound of meat, tomatoes, bacon and probably a head of lettuce, it was delicious. We were glad we had decided to share.  After lunch we headed to the Gershwin theatre to watch Wicked... I LOVED EVERY MINUTE of it!! What an amazing play! When the curtains closed I was ready to watch it again!
We had a little bit of time before the next show so we walked around for awhile. We stopped at Magnolia Bakery. Olivia got a yummy red velvet cupcake and I got a layered cookie that was so good!

The next play: Mary Poppins. It was truly Magical! The set was amazing, the actors, the music everything was just amazing! After the play while waiting in line to take a picture flying away with Mary we met some nice people from Rexburg and Shelley ID.

Times square is one place I will never visit on New Years, this was enough people for me!

The Hershey's Chocolate store smelled SO divine, I don't know if it was because I am pregnant or the smell of the chocolate was just that good but I could have stayed in there a little while longer!
We stayed in a hotel right off of Broadway it was nice to be so close.
The next day and our last was spent doing some sight seeing.
We woke up super early to see the Statue of Liberty. I was glad we didn't have to wait in too long of a line to board the ship, it was definitely worth a few less hours of sleep.

Our next destination:
We saw some interesting people and several groups of school kids with yelling teachers:)

Underneath the bridge I found this beauty, I am hoping my mom will make me one someday:)!
We went to Grimaldi's for pizza. It is located under the Brooklyn Bridge and is a small little pizza place. It was delicious!
Riding the Subway was quite the experience. One of the best places I have ever been to people watch!
I absolutely loved this trip! I have the best sister and Husband (He pitched in for me to go too) in the world, definitely one of my most memorable birthday celebrations!
