OuCH!!!

Every week after dance we go to Great Harvest and buy bread. This week we bought some lunch and had even picked up Ruffin, we were having a great time. Gracee was sitting next to me eating, Lucie was asleep, and Emme was across the table from me. Ruffin and I were talking about something important I am sure and in between talking and listening I asked Emme once to sit down on her chair. Emme loves to stand/climb on any and every chair and it is a constant battle each day me saying "Emme please sit down" and her sitting down and then forgeting and standing back up and it goes on and on... Well I asked her to sit down but I was talking to Ruffin and didn't really press the issue. Then she began to tip back on her chair and everything went in slow motion from there. I couldn't get the words out fast enough or get to her in time to stop the fall. I (surprisingly) didn't overreact. Well I may have just a little when I saw the open gash. Her chin had hit on the small part of the seat of the chair that did not have cushion on it. I was SO grateful that Ruffin had come with us. (He is always so level headed when things like this happen:). He took her to the bathroom to clean up the blood while I called the doctor's office. Our pediatrician's office does not do stitches so they told us to go up to the hospital. So today Emme had her first visit to the E.R. She did great and didn't even move while they stitched it up. It took 6 stiches and she has to leave them in for five days.
I took some pictures of her when we got home and told her we had to get one to post so everyone could see how brave she had been. She then said "everyone one will see it? I don't want anyone to see this bandaid!" I am pretty sure that having to put an "ugly bandaid" on was one of the hardest parts about getting the stitches (thanks to the numbing gel of course).
Here is Emme frustrated that I am showing anyone that she is sporting such and UGLY bandaid!
We took the bandaid off and she was happy and more than willing to get a good picture of her wound:)
When we were driving to the hospital Emme said "I need my Grandma Rooney, where is she?" This of course broke my mom's heart that she wasn't right there so she brought Emme some balloons and a juice and even some for Gracee for being such a good big sister:)!
I took a few pictures of Gracee also and had to post this one because she has learned which button gets the internet up and my homepage is my blog. She loves to look at the pictures and sometimes will sit at my computer looking at the same pictures for 15 to 20 minutes. The other day she was wondering where more pictures of her were... So here is one just for Gracee:)!
