Trip to the Dentist

Last week Gracee and Emme went to the dentist. When we got there both girls were extremely excited to play on the fun play place and didn't quite know what to expect when they were called back to see the dentist. Gracee went first and did surprisingly well. She sat ever so still on the chair to get the pictures of her teeth taken and when it came time to get her teeth cleaned she was great at keeping her mouth wide open. I had been feeling quilty that I hadn't taken her to the doctor sooner but was relieved to learn that her teeth were nice and healthy.Emme was not about to lay down on the table to get her teeth looked at so we held her in our laps which went relatively well. She got the giggles when the dentist told her that her teeth looked like princess teeth and she loved looking in the tooth shaped mirror he had. Emme's teeth also looked great (she was glad that she didn't have to lay there very long:)!
I am pretty sure Emme won't ever like these pictures but I felt it was necessary to document her first trip to the dentist:)
Both girls got a bag which had the usual toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, and cavity preventing gum. (Gracee LOVED the gum!) They each also got a token that they could use in the lobby to get a small prize. Gracee got a little ring that she treasures and Emme got a little animal.
The next day Gracee woke up and begged me to take her back to the Dentist. She wasn't too happy to learn that it would be six months until I was taking her back.
