Throughout the day I try to give Gracee choices to give her some freedom... So the other day it was almost lunch time and Gracee says "mom I want a egg." I told her "not today, today we are going to have leftovers for lunch." She then thought for a split second and looked at me straight in the eye and said "here's the deal... You have two choices, an egg for lunch or timeout."
The only thing I could do was LAUGH right out loud...
So what did we have for lunch? An egg... I wasn't going to timeout. No, seriously after I thought about it I decided who cares if she eats an egg or leftovers for lunch.
While we cooked the egg we did have a talk about choices and when it is ok to offer me choices:)
