To Be a KID again...

I was rocking Emme and watching the neighborhood kids out my front window wondering what they could possibly be up to... They were gathering all sorts of things from their houses, plastic toys, and other things I couldn't tell at a distance. They were all gathered by a little shed and as I thought of adventures I went on as a little girl I could only imagine what they were doing.
About ten minutes later I had laid Emme down and was doing something in the kitchen when my doorbell rang. It was two of the neighbor girls selling lemonade. Now I knew what they were gathering things for... I couldn't turn them down especially when they told us the price:) 10 cents for a half cup and 20 cents for a whole cup. So we bought all they had and it was worth the 30 cents. Not because we drank it (Gracee and I kindly thanked them and behind closed doors we dumped it down the drain) but because of their HUGE smiles that we bought both cups! What would it be like to be a kid again and find true joy in earning 3o cents:)
Looking back on the situation I should have just given them a dollar but do you think I should have taken a big drink while they were watching????

Ruffin - You'd have them weeding the front yard for 50 cents! Honestly!!
