Feeling Better!

On Thursday of this past week we had planned to go to Utah and on Wednesday Ruffin and I both were feeling like it wasn't a good idea. In fact I was feeling sick to my stomach and as soon we made the decision to stay home I immediately felt better... It wasn't an easy decision to make because I was really wanting to go, however I am so glad we listened to the prompting because on Friday night Emme woke up just screaming (very unusual for her.) I gave her some gas drops and tylenol and thought that would help but it didn't... She was still so upset so we put her in bed with us and a few minutes later I was completely covered in throw up. At that moment I was so grateful to be at my house and I knew exactly why we needed to stay home.
It was a good reminder that my Heavenly Father is aware of me and cares about my situation. It would have been awful to have been away from home with her so sick!
Poor Emme threw up several times on Friday night and was pretty good on Saturday only throwing up once (all over me.) I feel like I have taken more showers in the past three days than I usually take in a week.
Gracee was so sweet to her little sister, she would rub her little cheek and say "feel better Emme, alright." At one point when Emme was particularly cranky Gracee said "mommy, I hold Emme, I help her feel better."
Sunday has been a good day just resting and counting our blessing that the sun is shining and we are feeling better.
It is times like these that I am especially grateful for a washing machine, I can't imagine how mom's survived sick children prior to washing machines...
I am just so Grateful for my beautiful girls and that Emme has a smile on her face again!!!!

my kids are sick too. I've learned that vinegar water gets the throw up smell out of carpet! oh the joys of motherhood.
what photoshop did you get?

I didn't have flashbacks of Christmas '06 until Liz told me about Gracee in the night time... or maybe Emme and the bowl... Aren't ya glad there's some memories you know you don't have to relive! I hope you guys all get better soon.
