☆4th of July☆

We were in Utah for the 4th and we had lots of fun! We drove to Provo to watch the parade and had to park several blocks away. I was excited for a fun parade but when it was all said and done I was wishing I had been in Ashton to the no traffic, small parade, and tiny crowd. On the other hand I was glad to go to a big parade at least once.
As we were driving around trying to find a spot to park I noticed a lot of women wearing incredibly high heeled uncomfortable looking shoes. Some moms that were pushing strollers in the 3 mile parade route even had high heeled shoes. My favorite shoes of the day were these. Loved them.
I love dressing in red white and blue. This year we even had stars on our fingers and toes. We were feeling very festive:)!
Notice my flip flops, I was feeling a little out of place with such flat shoes:)
A few of our favorite things in the parade:
Abe Lincoln giving Emme a penny.
The Princesses.
Madeline was my favorite balloon and Gracee and Emme were both excited about the GIGANTIC doll:)!
The other thing I really liked about the big parade was all of the marching bands! I have never seen a parade with marching bands.
We watched the Parade with Marci and her family.
Gracee, Emme and Lucie sitting on the road with Eliza. It was hot and Lucie didn't like the sun but we couldn't leave her out of this family shot:)!I loved this sweet moment. They were just watching the parade.
The parade was 2½ hours long... To cool off we got a shaved ice and it was just what we needed!
After the parade we went to a reunion, a barbeque, and finished the night with swimming. No fireworks, which was a little sad but I don't think I would have stayed awake for them anyway.
