We have had quite the week! First and foremost the exciting news... Gracee with the help of her dora seat has had great success going to the bathroom all by herself! It is funny because after she goes to the bathroom she takes the dora seat off and throws it down, shuts the lid and then flushes. Everyone in the house can hear, its nice because I know when to go help her wash her hands.
Emme has been working on crawling this week and has accomplished the art of getting to her hands and knees from a sitting position. She still doesn't like being on her tummy so she gets frustrated, I l
et her work on it for awhile but I can't let her cr
y for too long. Gracee and I sometimes crawl around her to show her how it is done but lately Gracee gets upset that Emme isn't getting it down a little faster.Gracee loves to help feed, bath, dress and play with Emme, it is so cute to watch them together. Sometimes Gracee is the one and only who can cheer up Emme and make her smile, they are definitely great little friends!

Emme's favorite things these days are chewing on everything she can grasp (she has four teeth with four on the way in), rolling over, playing with anything Gracee doesn't snatch away, long naps (she doesn't just like her sleep, she absolutely loves it) and also a favorite of mine... Saying MaMa. She can say DaDa as well but her first and most frequent word (or babble) is MaMa. She is a very good little baby and even through her teething she has been just a happy content baby (what baby wouldn't be content, with those cheeks and thighs!).
Gracee is talking and saying new words more and more and more everyday. She is definitely good company to have around because she is usually talking the whole day. She is getting really good at putting sentences toget
her and expressing herself. Gra
cee is very into pink these days and loves all things pink. If you ask her what her favorite color is she gets very excited and shouts "PINK!" Gracee loves to hold the snakes which is interesting because any other animal she can barely look at let alone touch. But with the help of her dad she takes good care of the snakes. Gracee loves to get her fingers and toes painted, you guessed it.... PINK. She also loves to change her clothes over an over in a day... It doesn't get old. We have been having a struggle getting out Gracee's old clothes for Emme to wear because every article of clothing that comes out of the box Gracee reunites with it like it is an old best friend... Some days I lose the battle and she wears a belly shirt and high water pants. But if we aren't going anywhere a happy two year-old is better than looks. We do have lots of fun together! With the two of them there is never a dull moment!
Some of the things we did this week included a party in the park (we enjoyed: a free train ride, carousel ride, and dinner), visiting Grandpa Clark in Ashton (Gracee calls him Papa Great), fun shopping trip to the grocery store, and a fun party at our house with all the people from Ruffin's work.
